Overview

Natalie joined the firm in January 2014 as a Paralegal. Natalie works closely with Sanjay Panesar, and other fee earners within the litigation team. She has experience in working with Senior and Junior Counsel on a wide variety of matters.

Natalie has undertaken the CILEx Level 3 and 6 Legal Executive course.

Natalie has experience in a variety of VAT & Excise matters ranging from assessments and penalties, to approval revocations and refusals such as AWRS (The Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme) and WOWGR (Warehousekeepers and Owners of Warehoused Goods Regulations). Natalie has issued Judicial Review proceedings in relation to a range of HMRC decisions, and obtained interim injunctive relief.

Key Experience

  • Natalie has represented multiple retailers in obtaining temporary approval, following the refusal of the Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme (AWRS) by HMRC.
  • Natalie has successfully brought matters to the Tax tribunal where clients have been wrongly assessed for their Tax liability.
  • Natalie acted on behalf of a lorry driver that was stopped by Border Force and issued with a significant Penalty for the excise duty of the goods he was carrying, where the clients appeal was successful.

hobbies & Interests

During her time away from the office Natalie spends time with her young family. She enjoys socialising with friends and exploring her local area.
